Business Analyst 1

OVERALL OBJECTIVE & PURPOSE

• Reporting to the Supervisor, Business Insights & Analysis, the Business Analyst I will support strategic research and analysis functions to influence business goals, growth and expansion of short, medium and long-term plans. This will be completed through timely, consistent, proactive monitoring, analysis and reporting of micro and macro dynamics and trends. 

• The Business Analyst I will be an ambassador for company and will be expected to lead by example, modelling IGT values and reinforcing the company’s mission, vision for the attainment and alignment of business goals and objectives.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists with the company’s research and analysis requirements, providing support to  overall business unit (including individual sites, departments, stakeholders)

• Consistently monitors, analyzes and provides stakeholders with comprehensive, real timereports and updates on macro-economic, market, competitor trends and insights, clearly outlining direct and indirect business impacts and recommendations to maintain leadership business position

• Works closely with management to assist with the preparation of business financial forecasts, reports, presentations (and other requirements) to internal and external stakeholders, including but  not  limited  to:  short,  medium  and  long  term  business plans,  business development  and  expansion  opportunities,  weekly  and  other  scheduled  business and department specific reports

• In compliance with company process, assists with the development, management, analysis and maintenance of up-to-date business  intelligence  databases and  tools as  required  by  relevant  sites/  departments/ stakeholders to:

o Guide  business  strategy,  monitor  business  performance,  optimization  efforts, market and retail trends

o Measure and report the impact and effectiveness and performance of business activities including campaigns, promotions and programs, internal and external incentive  programs,  targeted  advertising  campaigns,  branding  and  visibility initiatives and other business activities

• Assists with research projects with internal and external agencies, ensuring that studies achieve research objectives

• Conducts quantitative and qualitative research to determine sales performance by individual retailers, specified groups, business types, chain accounts and lottery products sales analysis

• Enables an environment of professional, innovative, timely, efficient service levels across the business

• Champions IGT’s “Customer First” philosophy, clearly demonstrating and articulating the company’s mission, vision, values, goals, objectives and targets

• Performs any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Research, Marketing Psychology, Statistics

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum three (3) to five (5) years in marketing, research, business analysis or business-related field

• Strategic thinker with strong analytical, logical and critical thinking competencies, with 

• thorough understanding of diverse business processes

• Advanced computer literacy and tech-savvy, with high proficiency in research

• Highly professional attitude with outstanding business etiquette, networking, negotiation, 

• interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, business reporting, 

• public-speaking skills) 

• Focused, disciplined and self-motivated, maintaining a positive attitude and proactive, 

• solutions -focused approach, even if performing under stressful circumstances

• High Computer Literacy skills, with experience using MS Office programs (including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel)

• Highly professional attitude with outstanding business etiquette, networking, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills 

• Focused, disciplined and self-motivated, maintaining a positive attitude and proactive, solutions -focused approach, even if performing under stressful circumstances
