Position Overview:

An expert, yet hands-on DevOps Engineer able to thrive in a fast-growing business where change is constant. Working with the DevOps Manager, you will have full ownership of delivering customer value for DevOps. As the critical interface between development and operations teams, you will be an enthusiast for the DevOps mentality

What You’ll Do:

•   Drive the implementation of DevOps tooling to enable fully automated builds, improving developer’s efficiency
•   Work closely with development teams to deploy applications faster and more optimally
•   Use Terraform and Jenkins to enable core systems to scale ‘out’ with business demand
•   Optimise hosting costs
•   Promote DevOps guidelines adoption with all teams you interact with
•   Build systems on an ‘expect failure’ principle providing available/resilient systems
•   Work in an agile way providing insight to work and outcomes
•   Provide operational support to ensure the availability of business systems
•   Handling/calling out risks and blockers
•   Collaborate with multiple other teams such as architecture and development.

What We’d Prefer:

•   Several years working in a DevOps role in AWS cloud environment
•   Experienced with using tooling products like ELK, Prometheus and Grafana
•   Expert knowledge of Linux specifically CentOS and RHEL
•   Knowledge of PHP and MYSQL
•   Experience building and deploying high traffic production environments
•   Advanced abilities around automation via IaC and configuration management using Terraform, and Ansible
•   Experienced in CI/CD specifically using Jenkins
•   Used to work in Agile and Kanban methodologies
•   Follow standard methodologies for security, ensuring the protection of our customer's data and business IP.
•   Good Knowledge of Kubernetes clusters
•   A love for all things automation
