Game Mathematician I

Position Overview:

We are looking for Game Mathematician to join us in delivering the next generation of casino products for a worldwide audience. We are a passionate team, in the process of undergoing a technology shift. 
Game Mathematician will join our team that is working on the Core product line, where new slot machine games are built from scratch or existing games from another market are ported and the emphasis is on innovations and creativity. You will be part of the game development from start to end, you will build mathematical logic from scratch, test the logic you have implemented, write mathematical calculations, tune the game payouts, and at the end prepare user documentation for sophisticated math logic that is checked in external certification bodies. In cases where existing games are ported, you will amend game logic, payouts, and documentation to fit new requirements. The mathematical logic is implemented in MPT – which is an in-house developed mathematical game development environment and framework and will be trained with us in detail.

You will work closely with Producer in creation process as well as with the other teams (Developers, Project Managers, Testers, Artists, and other Mathematicians) through the game development lifecycle. The mathematical logic you are implementing is the core of our games and one of the most critical success factors in the game business markets.

What you’ll do:

•    Create and implement mathematical logic from scratch of the slot game according to specification from the Game Designer including writing simulations 
•    Port game logic and math of the existing games from another market
•    Calculate the probabilities of winning combinations and other aspects of game design
•    Work together with Game Designer on the tuning of the various payouts 
•    Prepare the vital mathematical documentation for technical approval, ensuring that compliance requirements are met
•    Be the internal contact person for requests concerning mathematical concepts
•    Have an advisory role during a game’s concept phase for exploitability or compliance risks
 

Must-haves:

•    University degree or equivalent experience in Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or a related field
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
•    Proficiency in a programming language (preferably Python).
•    1-4 years of experience; mathematics, statistics, software engineering, or similar (experience in slot industry is not required but it is a huge plus)
•    Being precise, detailed, and accurate
•    Proactive and standout colleague (collaborating with other teams and having a curious mentality)
•    Solid technical English as well as good communication skills

NOTE: This position is temporary work agreement, replacement 12 months contract, with potential for long term cooperation. We pay full taxes for amount arranged. We provide equipment, and we expect that you are willing to work in hybrid way of work, 2-3 days per week from office. Our office is based in Ušće Tower 1.
