Role Summary

We are looking for a highly experience senior J2EE software engineer to join our R&D team focused on building a new world class, cloud-based and multi-tenant solution for one of our core Lottery platforms. The successful candidate can expect to work from the ground-up on a multi-year R&D initiative in a fast-paced, Agile development environment. In addition to very strong technical skills, you should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills (English is mandatory), as well as being capable of working with a high-performing team of developers as a key decision maker.


Design, Develop and support Cloud-Native applications and in an Azure cloud environment with a focus on multi-tenancy and micro-services.

Work collaboratively as a software engineer on a high performing, geographically dispersed R&D team which focuses on building highly performant, reliable, and secure systems to drive value for our product line and customers.

Contribute to application development on a ground-up large-scale, mission-critical system and be capable of leading and making key decisions for the team.

Qualifications 1

  • 10+ years of experience in Solution, Design and Development of web applications using the Java EE, Spring Webservice
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent working experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in designing Java REST based web services.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SpringBoot, Spring and Hibernate frameworks 
  • Experience in designing architecture, reusable components and frameworks.
  • Expert in Object Oriented Analysis and Design using Java and UML
  • Expert in JEE patterns and ability to use commonly used on in real time situations
  • Expert in tuning all tiers of applications.
  • Good knowledge of relational database concepts with working knowledge on SQL and Stored Procedures preferably using PostgreSQL Database Server 

Qualifications 2

  • Strive to constantly improve the application development processes and tools.
  • Experiences in full life cycle of application/system development
  • Must have strong communication skills with ability to work with all management levels
  • Must have proven experience developing Java applications in a cloud, micro-services architecture
  • Must have Kubernetes and Docker containerization experience
  • Preferrable to have experience programming in an Azure cloud environment
  • Strong understanding of Cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as IaaS/SaaS/PaaS, load balancing, storage, etc.
  • Participating on requirement gathering, analysis and technical design 
  • Experience with using development tools, including Azure DevOps, TFS, VSTS, JIRA, GitHub, and Jenkins.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to write quality unit and end–to–end tests; debug and optimize existing and new code Certifications
  • Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.

Required Skills

You assign, coordinate, and review work and activities of programming personnel. Collaborate with computer manufacturers and other users to develop new programming methods. Supervise, train, mentor junior level programmers in programming and program coding. Represent team in project meetings. Work with business and functional analysts, and software & solution architects in ensuring that programs and systems function as intended.

Qualifications: 10+ years (2 years min relevant experience in the role) years experience, Bachelor’s Degree.

• Must have experience in Software Engineering Techniques, Software Engineering Architecture, Software Engineering Lifecycle and Data Management.

• Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Software Engineering Leadership, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.
