Principal Business Analyst, Business Intelligence 
The Principal Business Analyst will be responsible for bridging the gap between Technology and internal and external customers in support of development and delivery of IGT’s comprehensive business intelligence solution for Lotteries worldwide. This individual will assess customers’ business processes, understand needs, and deliver recommendations in forms of documented product configurations and new product requirements.

This individual will engage with internal and external business leaders to understand how actionable data and analytics can improve efficiencies and add value. They must articulate those ideas but also balance them against what’s technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable.

This position reports to the Business Analyst Manager responsible for IGT’s business applications and can be performed from any of the IGT offices or remotely within the United States. 


•    Develop a deep understanding of the lottery product portfolio, sales channels, business processes and practices, KPIs, and factors affecting sales.

•    Leverage business intelligence analytics to communicate the products benefits to IGT's lottery customers.

•    Support product development by:
o    Assisting the Product Manager with maintaining the product roadmap, planning future product releases, and managing the product backlog.
o    Working with software engineers to translate business requirements into functional requirements and to ensure content is developed according to specifications.
o    Ensuring product functional requirements documentation is always up to date.
•    Play a critical role in product delivery to customers:
o    Leads kick-off meeting with internal and external stakeholders, providing overview of the product design and analytical content and leading discussions to understand existing business processes where “thinking on your feet” is necessary to quickly relate the lottery’s processes to product functionality and suggest solutions to address business concerns.
o    Demonstrates product features to customers incorporating interactive Q&A sessions displaying how the product helps drive efficiencies and adds value. 
o    Works with the customers to document product configurations, providing appropriate direction and support to the customer, as needed.
o    Supports product testing focused on data validation efforts to ensure highest quality of delivered product.
o    Provides training, guidance, and on-going support for customers to drive product usage. 


•    Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
•    A minimum three years of experience in Business Analyst role.
•    Must be able to demonstrate their understanding of which levers can be used to directly impact business performance.
•    Must be able to demonstrate their ability to translate business requirements to a technical engineer and translate technical details to a non-technical customer.
•    Must be skilled in building relationships and influencing others. In discussion with customers, the candidate must be able to learn and analyze the current business processes and relate those processes to the product while recommending best practices that the customer may not have considered.
•    Must exhibit exceptional attention to detail.
•    Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to be portrayed as an advocate for the customer while at the same time influencing decision-making.
•    Has strong project management, organizational and management skills, including ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing initiatives with aggressive multi-project schedule.
•    Has experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
•    Must have the ability to travel to customer locations.
•    Experience with the lottery, gaming or sports betting is a plus.
