Responsibilities

IGT is searching for a Network Security Architect who curious, reliable, and highly motivated to join our growing Network Security Team. As a member of this team, you will make the organization more secure by protecting system boundaries, keeping computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and securing sensitive data. 
The key function will be to provide level 3 support to IGT network security operations (who protect our production and enterprise network perimeter) using security tools for firewall management/ analyzer, IDS and DDOS. 


Job Summary and Responsibilities

  • Monitor network infrastructure for security issues and threats, identify emerging threats and diagnose them to prevent security incidents, and manage and maintain security network devices  
  • Automate the action of logging on network devices
  • Use the centralized solution for existing firewall infrastructure, intrusion prevention IPS and intrusion detection IDS and DDOS protection infrastructure to provide ongoing security support
  • Guarantee network security best practices are executed through auditing: router, change control, switch, firewall configurations, and monitoring
  • Recommendations on network impact of vulnerability information supplied through vendor updates and core security engineering scans
  • Work under strict change control processes to ensure only authorized changes are made to devices
  • Support process for configuration management, hardening and patch management run by operations
  • Develop relationships with core security engineering team and network engineering to continually develop our security network solutions and current infrastructure
  • Periodic network vulnerability testing

Basic Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited college/ university in communication engineering or computer science, or other closely related field
  • Fortinet network security engineer level 5 or greater


Preferred Skills and Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in both technical and commercial aspects of telecommunications security at a senior level
  • CISCO, CCNP, CCNA, CCIE, CCSA, FCNSP, CISSP an advantage
  • Good knowledge of IP routing, DNS, SSL, VPN, HTTP
  • Knowledge of Fortinet Firewall and IPS with associated Fortinet Manager and Fortinet Analyzer 
  • Network Access Control techniques and network detection rules
  • Experience of working with automation tools, such as Ansible and scripting languages such as python
  • Knowledge of Cisco ASA/ Firepower Firewall, Checkpoint Firewall and Juniper edge router an advantage
  • Knowledge of A10 load balancers an advantage
