Responsibilities

The newly formed Data Strategy team under Global lottery is looking to build out a new, cloud-based data ecosystem. This platform will include all facets of business intelligence including advanced analytics and data science activities.

The intern will be contributing to the new data strategy team on various work streams including analysis of targeted use cases where advanced analytics may apply. The intern will be working in a cloud-based data and analytics platform and will exercise advanced data and mathematical methods to evolve analytics.

Qualifications

Enrolled in an accredited higher education institution; studying Computer Science, Software Engineering or Data Science.
Broad understanding of software principles and advanced mathematical concepts
Eagerness to learn and apply data science principles to real-world applications.
Strong math skills, analytics, statistics, and data management principles
Experience with Python, SQL, Data management systems, IDEs for data science
Experience / Exposure with Cloud technologies
Experience with MS products preferred.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation is $19.50/hour. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
