The job involves defining architectural recommendations and guidance across business verticals to facilitate alignment, synergies, and optimization. A key process for this is the Reference Architecture.
Specific tasks include:
•    Analyze markets and make recommendations for IGT standard tech stack
•    Analyze IGT product portfolio and make recommendations for reusable components
•    Define architectural patterns and policies to be applied across IGT
•    Prepare roadmaps for integration between IGT products
•    Investigate new technologies and how they potentially could benefit IGT products
•    Help drive modernization of IGT products
•    Ongoing support of product development, deliveries and operation when needed
Organizationally the job will be reporting to the head of Architecture Transformation, who reports to the head of Global Architecture and Chief Architect, who reports directly to the CTO.


Must have skills:
•    Formal education (bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, master’s degree a plus)
•    Experience in software development and/or architecture (5+ years strongly preferred, 10+ years a plus)
•    Experience in OOD & OOP (like Java or C#)
•    Experience in databases (RDBMS required, NoSQL a plus)
•    Experience in web technologies
•    Some knowledge in devops, containers and cloud
•    Basic knowledge of modeling (like UML)
•    Strong general knowledge about IT and IT industry
•    Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Nice to have skills:
•    Experience with transaction processing
•    Architecture certifications (like TOGAF)
