Overview

As part of the Lottery Solutions Management team you will be the primary point of customer interaction in the definition and presentation of IGT’s Lottery Solution. Through leadership and collaborative relationships across the enterprise you will help define the solutions we will be offering Lotteries as part of their procurement processes. 
This is a critical role in influencing the solutions that our customers request through tendering processes. You will continue to refine the solution to meet the needs of the customer over time, using new and updated IGT products, helping maintain and improve customer satisfaction. 
Via this customer interaction you will improve contribution to overall product vision and strategy, ensuring we build products that work together holistically and meet the needs of our customers.
This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. The Solution Manager will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial technical decision-making authority.
To be successful as a solution manager, you should have excellent technical skills and knowledge, and be analytical, and well organized. 
 

Responsibilities

As the lead role in bringing an outside-in perspective to our product roadmaps and vision as well as helping ensure our products and solutions continue to be industry leading, you will:    

  • Lead customer engagements to understand and anticipate customer needs as input to solution design, leading sessions across different product stakeholders to give the customer a continuous single view of our solution.
  • Lead customer engagements on behalf of product management to arrange and conduct product demonstrations and workshops as necessary.
  • Lead our RFP response within product, acting as the authoritative voice of the whole solution, coordinating gap responses between R&D and delivery responsibility, and engaging architecture where needed to create a solution that meets customer requirements.
  • Cooperate with CTO group to ensure the recommended solutions are understood, costed, and planned for delivery.
  • Cooperate with other stakeholders, such as Marketing, Legal and Security in defining the final customer solution to protect IGT’s integrity.
  • Keep yourself educated and up to speed on new IGT products, features, and functions in the roadmap and being released and ready for customers.

Qualifications

What you bring with you:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT, engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
  • A strong understanding of product management and software development methods (SDLC), applied concepts and tools in modern product management and product design
  • The ability to solve complex challenges and convert them into structured solutions, which are actionable for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills 
  • Ability to influence without authority, working with team members who do not report into this role to get things done
  • Strong project management, organizational and management skills, including ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing initiatives with aggressive multi-project schedule
  • Ability to travel 
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones internationally
  • A sound understanding of the technical aspects of a transaction processing product (such as a lottery transaction engine, a core banking system or a fintech) and its complexities is a strong plus
  • Previous experience of being a Technical Account Manager, Sales Support Engineer, or Pre-Sales Solution Architect is ideal
