Responsibilities

**This position qualifies for a $500 Sign-On Bonus!**

  • Follow a bi-weekly assigned route as defined by geographical boundaries
  • Refresh Point of Sale (P.O.S.) materials
  • Fill retailer equipment or dispensers, assuring Lottery footprints are set to customer standards.
  • Work various special events as assigned by the Lottery: Assists with the set up and tear down of all promotional equipment at each event, operating all the promotional activities assigned to them (i.e. wheel spin and other promotional activities)
  • Sells and redeems Michigan Lottery Instant and draw game tickets at Michigan Lottery sponsored events.
  • Awards monetary and non-monetary prizes to winners at Michigan Lottery sponsored events.
  • Verifies inventory and cash at opening and closing of Michigan Lottery sponsored events.
  • Answer consumer questions on games/promotions and educate on lottery products.
  • Uphold the Lottery brand in the highest regard

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent required
  • 1 years customer service, sales, or merchandising background is required
  • Prior exposure to lottery and/or marketing techniques are highly preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of and ability to handle and balance money transactions accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, primarily when dealing with the public.
  • Ability to maintain composure when working under pressure.
  • Valid driver’s license is required, must maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment.
  • Must be able to pass a background screening, drug, & DOT Physical examination (includes lifting 50lbs)
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends (this may include occasional overnight business travel).
