Responsibilities

  • Perform the day-to-day general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and analysis for assigned functional areas
  • Research and resolve Business Unit(s) inquiries for assigned functional areas
  • Routine communication with Supervisors relating to financial close, issues and deliverables
  • Responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close for assigned functional areas
  • Assist in responding to audit requests and preparing audit support packages
  • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations
  • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of the periodic management reporting of financial results for assigned functional areas
  • Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules
  • Prepare journal entries related to assigned functional responsibilities
  • Create customer invoice
  • Interact with the company's partners, state personnel, outside vendors, as well as personnel located at all company sites to provide or receive financial information needed to perform duties
  • Assist with special projects and any additional reporting requests

Qualifications

Education:

  • BA/BS in Finance or Accounting

Experience

  • 1-3 years of related experience is required
  • SAP experience a plus
  • High proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint required

  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
  • Understanding of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
