Overview

IGT’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is a center of excellence within IGT’s People and Transformation team (other companies refer to “Human Resources”). The purpose of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion is to drive and support the company’s efforts to build an equitable and inclusive culture that aligns with our business strategy and values unity, diversity, and belonging in our people, players, customers, and community. The primary role of the Vice President, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is to lead the vision and execution of the global DEI strategy, establish concrete and measurable goals, and serve as a crucial point of contact with customers, and other external partners in the gaming industry and beyond. 

 

This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with global remote teams, serving as the global DEI subject matter expert in people and business processes, organizational culture, and transformation. The person in this position must have a record of living what we value– passionate, pioneering, responsible, authentic, and collaborative. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate awareness and understanding of and continued learning about systems that impact equity and inclusion and intersectional dimensions of diversity, including cultural, ethnic, racial, religious, gender, gender identity, educational, age, sexual orientation, linguistic, professional, socio-economic, and other identities that make us outstanding. Importantly, this role requires passion, emotional intelligence, cultural fluency, and the ability to model inclusive leadership with authenticity and authority.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree and/or professional and lived experiences relevant to the role
  • Expert knowledge of diversity, equity, inclusion, leadership coaching and development.
  • General understanding of global leading practices in DEI
  • Understanding of regulations relating to the employee experience, including equal employment opportunity, anti-harassment and other 
  • Experience with C-Suite and/or Board level presentations
  • Excellent public speaking skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and consultation to actualize the global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategy in alignment with company’s business strategy, mission, vision, strategic goals, and values
  • Engage and activate ecosystem of leaders and other partners, including global and regional diversity councils, to ensure sustainable impact on a global level
  • Leverage research and data to develop and implement programs and initiatives and deliver recommendations in line with leading practices that are practical
  • Collaborate with business units, legal, compliance, data privacy, internal and external communications, procurement, and global brand, marketing, and sustainability organization to embed inclusion in business practices
  • Measure, track, analyze, and report progress to Board, Compensation Committee, and senior leadership team
  • Apply data-driven approach to ensure people systems and processes are fair and accessible, including talent acquisition, talent development, performance management, succession planning, total rewards, and leadership development
  • Report on DEI progress to Board, senior leadership team and other internal partners
  • Design and implement in collaboration with Global Talent development DEI learning initiatives and global engagement programs and embed diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging and cultural competence concepts and behaviors into global educations and development programs.
  • Serve as a facilitator and moderator for education and engagement sessions on topics relevant to DEI
  • Manage DEI team responsible for IGT’s global Diversity and Inclusion Groups (DIGs) 
  • Build and promote IGT’s DEI program brand on global level
