Overview

The Sr. Content Strategist, Business Proposals is responsible for supporting the content development planning processes within the group. Specifically, this individual will maintain a focus on ensuring a level of consistency and continuity across each proposal the group supports. This position works closely with the Director of Content, Business Proposals, to ensure that content teams align and collaborate with bid management on the best development plan that achieves outstanding content and creative goals for each opportunity, to win new business and retain existing business for IGT.

Responsibilities

  • Read RFP Requirements, review all capture-related inputs including capture plans and kickoff decks and as assigned to specific projects to align internal resources on the optimal content development approach to take that fits that opportunity.
  • Read, understand, and align with company brand guidelines.
  • Read and understand customer profile/capture documents and any additional inputs available.
  • Develop and communicate guidelines for content goals & approach.
  • Facilitate content planning alignment and discussion sessions as assigned.
  • Consolidate and refine content plan for wider disseminate to proposal team.
  • Read and review project proposal content and provide feedback based on agreed-upon content plan and based on all available inputs to content development. Compares proposal content in comparison to customer goals/capture inputs/drafted content strategy.
  • Collaborate with Director to create new guidelines or processes to streamline content planning and or/content development. Measure efficiency of previous content plans to develop repeatable framework.
  • Conduct internal reviews of proposal responses and past content plans for findings, improvements and/or preparations for future opportunities.
  • Supports Director of Content in all content planning initiatives for all live projects and pre-RFP projects as applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent experience
  • Advanced proposal development experience
  • Presentation and public speaking skills
  • Experience developing content or working with creative teams
  • Experience in leading brainstorming or idea creation sessions
  • Experience in developing new processes suited for content or creative teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of IGT standard methodologies for proposal development including knowledge of all phases of proposal development OR knowledge of content development strategies and standard methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead multiple collaborators and internal customers.
  • Ability to think conceptually and act decisively.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail, time management skills and multitasking abilities.
  • Self-motivated to build and appropriately manage internal business relationships.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions and help craft and define content strategy and approach.
