Overview

We are looking for an entry-level Proposal Writer to join IGT's Business Proposals team! The Business Proposals team primarily responds to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) with high quality, responsive, and effective proposals, to obtain new business and retain existing business for the company. 
 

Responsibilities

The Proposal Writer collaborates with proposal managers, editors, graphic designers, and various resources across the company to gather data and contribute written content in support of business proposal efforts. This content is generally non-technical text with the objective of clearly and directly communicating to customers the features, benefits, and differentiators of IGT's solutions. The Proposal Writer achieves this by meeting with technical and account team resources to understand solutions, researching existing content on relevant topics, and gathering data from sources around the company; and then synthesizing all information into clear and responsive written content. 
 
Candidates who excel in this position have an excellent grasp of the written word, with the ability to adjust tone and style to meet various project needs; as well as a high competency in reading comprehension. They should be able to translate complex ideas and concepts into easily digestible text. Successful candidates will also be able to communicate and collaborate with a variety of individuals at all levels across the company, ask questions to help clarify their understanding of topics, and proactively maintain contact with resources throughout the content development process. They will also need to be able to manage multiple priorities, keep track of and meet deadlines, and ensure their work adheres to department standards and conventions. 

Qualifications

•    Education: BA/BS. Candidates with equivalent job experience in writing may also be considered.
