IGT is seeking an enthusiastic communications strategist to join our team!  

As a part of our Global Communications team, this position will support IGT’s worldwide public relations initiatives, which can include work for our Global Lottery, Global Gaming, Digital & Betting and Sustainability (corporate social responsibility) teams. You’ll have the unique opportunity to work cross-functionally with many internal stakeholders in product management, marketing and sales, as well as IGT customers and senior executives from around the world to:

  • Draft news releases and trade publication editorials related to our Global Lottery, Global Gaming or Digital & Betting business verticals.
  • Develop strategic public relations activities and promotions with Global Gaming, Global Lottery or Digital & Betting products and solutions. 
  • Generate positive media coverage in B2B and B2C outlets that inspires operator interest and player excitement for IGT games and services. 
  • Develop and implement communications plans and campaigns for IGT’s award-winning sustainability achievements and certifications, diversity and inclusion initiatives and annual activities such as IGT’s Sustainability Report. 
  • Support IGT’s presence at industry tradeshows

  • Is a self-starter, results-oriented and possesses extraordinary verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Maintains a global mindset and capacity to interface successfully across time zones and cultures. 
  • Demonstrates a can-do attitude, the capacity to think critically, and a solutions-oriented approach to problem solving. 
  • Is familiar with or interested in corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Can take complex material and distill it to easily digestible and understandable information.
  • Has media relations experience and can identify and develop unique news hooks to maintain positive relationships with media
  • Exhibits good judgement and strategic thinking, as this role is highly visible internally and externally


Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, with emphasis in Journalism, Communications or related discipline 
  • 6+ years of experience in public relations, marketing communications or corporate communications
  • Understanding of corporate communications fundamentals
  • Capacity to think and contribute on a strategic level, versus relying purely on tactical execution and direction from others
  • Experience contributing to projects and collaborating at all levels of an organization and across geographies 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and team orientation
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • A high degree of integrity and confidentiality
