This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to play a critical role in the success of IGT’s global accounting organization. The Director of Corporate Accounting is primarily responsible for ensuring that IGT’s Corporate Accounting activities (including, business combinations, debt, derivatives, stock-based compensation, etc.) are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (U.S. GAAP and IFRS) and its internal control structure is designed and operating effectively.  

As the Director of Corporate Accounting this individual will oversee a team in applying critical judgements and developing accounting positions for complex transactions. In performing these responsibilities, the position is responsible for oversight of accounting judgements performed by various finance and business functions, including:
•    Treasury – debt, derivatives, factoring/securitization;
•    Corporate FP&A – segment determinations & corporate allocations;
•    Business Development (M&A) – business combinations, divestures, joint ventures;
•    Tax – intercompany debt, intragroup transactions;
•    P&T – compensation plans (STI, LTI, executive compensation plans), corporate restructuring;
•    Legal – legal contingency assessments;
•    Corporate consolidations & accounting – consolidation entries, goodwill impairment
Other Duties include:
•    Identifying financial statements risks and managing appropriate accounting treatment
•    Working with external and internal auditors supporting financial statement audits and control evaluations
•    Interacting with senior-level executives of the organization including; Finance, Legal, Compliance and Corporate Accounting
•    Reviewing regulatory compliance filings of accounting information
•    Supporting VP Corporate Controller & Chief Accounting Officer
•    Leading corporate project Initiatives aimed at process improvements, best practices and operational efficiency
•    Managing recruiting, development, retention, compensation and performance management for team of direct reports



•    Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functional units and levels within the organization
•    Exceptional financial and analytical skills including substantial experience with valuation, accounting principles and financial statement analysis
•    Considered an expert in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
•    Strong organizational skills enabling simultaneous management of multiple projects
•    Highly motivated, results-oriented with ability to take initiative in a diverse organization
•    Sound judgement and business acumen
•    Strong presentation skills
•    Able to use data to tell the accounting story related to contemplated complex transactions

•    10+ years of experience in accounting
•    5+ years management experience
•    Experience with analysis and interpretation of technical accounting guidance, compliance regulations and legal documents
•    SOX and SEC reporting experience
•    Understanding of U.S. audit rules and regulations
•    Project management
•    Bachelor’s degree; Masters preferred Advanced degree, CPA or special skill related to position or equivalent
