This flexible schedule position (50% in office/50% remote) can be staffed out of: Nevada, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Texas or Rome/Italy. 


As part of the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence, the primary responsibility of this position is to provide BI reporting solutions using PowerBI, Tableau and SAP BusinessObjects predominantly using SAP HANA database and SAP BW on HANA application environments to all business functions for IGT globally.

•    Design and implement global enterprise reporting solutions using Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau and BusinessObjects Enterprise tools using SAP HANA DB, SAP Business Warehouse, SQL Server, SalesForce, and other third-party data sources
•    Interface with developers and business analysts to understand business and technical requirements
•    Analyze business requirements to determine appropriate technology solutions and deliver effective visualizations and reporting solutions to the business
•    Manage end user training and assistance to use various functionalities of front-end tools such as PowerBI (mandatory skill), Tableau, SAP BusinessObjects, BEx, and Analysis for Office
•    Manage and support user authorizations and object level security in PowerBI and Tableau
•    Set up and monitor refresh schedules, and as the PowerBI point of contact for the BI team, provide guidance to PowerBI developers working with different functional units, and verify and promote / publish their dashboards to production 
•    Optimize performance by establishing and maintaining standards for consistent data strategy, data points, optimal use of filters and calculations leveraging PowerBI DAX best practice standards


Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
•    5+ years of experience in business analysis and reporting in an ERP environment
•    Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
•    Extensive knowledge in PowerBI dashboard development, Power Query, security, and administration of PowerBI Gateway  
•    Knowledge of database concepts and proficiency in data modeling, universe design, ETL tools and techniques, data visualization and dashboard development 
•    Strong communication skills, oral and written with the ability to communicate across all levels of the business including formal and informal presentations and workshops

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:
•    Developer skills in HANA DB and/or BW application on HANA. Being able to extract and stage the required data from SAP and non-SAP data sources is a plus
•    Knowledge of Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, SAP BW/Application/Message Server Connector, SAP HANA Database connector
•    Knowledge of Business Objects BI Platform (BOBJ)
•    Working knowledge of HANA Studio
•    Familiarity with BW and HANA roles and authorizations
•    Familiarity with BW’s BEx reporting
•    SQL Server development skills – views, queries, and stored procedures
