The Sales Director is responsible for cultivating IGT’s customer relationships and orchestrating the deployment of corporate-wide resources to provide comprehensive products, services, and to deliver product solutions to each customer. The individual will lead Mexico’s Account Manager team using all key resources, reports, information, and tools supporting the Sales organization to improve sales performance and customer coverage and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. Key focus to develop and close major sales for assigned customers collaborating closely with IGT team across all support functions to achieve this result. Additionally, the person should work closely with each sales team member to mentor, educate and train them to be a more effective team member than yesterday. 



  • Gaming Operations: Defend and stabilize the Recurring Revenue Install Base 
  • Coach and Develop Account Managers to optimize IGT floor performance, build strong customer relationships, develop effective long term customer account plans to build IGT’s long term partnerships and value we offer the customer 
  • Work with Account Managers to think strategically when completing long term forecast 
  • Customer First & Effective Customer Engagement 
  • Responsible for significant key partner relationship management and development; creates relationships that have a business purpose beyond generating revenue; builds these relationships at all organizational levels 
  • Responsible for tactical sales negotiations 
  • Analyzes field and competitive intelligence to understand competitive strategies and identify opportunities where IGT can add value to a customer’s strategy and collaborates closely with key IGT stakeholders to develop customer value. 
  • Identifies emerging, or responds to, complex problems that will affect sales for assigned accounts and works with customers and regulators to ensure their rapid resolution 
  • Responsible for the development of customer-specific sales forecasts, goals and strategies 
  • Develops and continuously improves sales tactics for each customer, product or service line for assigned customers to meet or exceed established customer-specific sales goals 
  • Regularly assesses the trends and competitive positioning of IGT’s products in the area 
  • Establishes resource requirements, budgets and performance standards for the customers directed 
  • Coordinates with marketing, sales and technology groups to implement business development strategies into specific initiatives 
  • Develops and closes complex sales of IGT’s products and services with customers  
  • Escalates highly complex strategic or operating issues or requests to gain cooperation at the highest levels of IGT management 


  • Typically has 5+ years of experience in strategic sales and account management as well as developing and enhancing customer relations. 
  • Industry experience in, gaming machine, and/or systems sales or casino operations preferred 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. MBA preferred. 
  • Recognized as a senior strategic and operational leader with expert competence in developing customer relationships and sales planning and selling 
  • Able to balance IGT’s needs and outcomes with personal financial outcomes 
  • Has the ability to quickly develop expert knowledge of all or a majority of IGT products, IGT’s brand and the market positioning and sales strategies 
  • Has the ability to quickly develop expert knowledge of the competitive and regulatory landscape and of current competitive trends affecting customers.
