Introduction

IGT is searching for an experienced Logistics Director to join our Sydney based team. In this role, the successful candidate will work with the Studio Directors, Producers, Product Management and Executive leadership to plan, align, and support delivery of gaming products for APAC Studios. This individual will help monitor game roadmaps, high-level resource planning, timelines, risk management, resource estimates, and fiscal budgets for the group. This position is responsible for creating consistent metrics and shared reporting for all product lines based on roadmaps and studio strategic goals. Works regularly with Global R&D tools and financial partners to maintain strategic commitments against budgetary requirements.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

Communication

  • Proactively seeks opportunities to influence and drive change in areas that adversely impact the achievement of business objectives. 
  • Regularly interacts with individuals of material business influence representing. organizations / customers / vendors and leads in strategic negotiations.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with game development teams to achieve enterprise level goals.
  • Maintains global partner relations in Finance, PPM, PROs, & Operational Peers.

People Management 

  • Manages employees who perform similar or related tasks and may manage employees from multiple disciplines; has both direct reports and indirect reports.
  • Oversees the development and training of staff/teams managed.
  • Conducts regular performance reviews, sets annual performance goals, recommends compensation adjustments, and awards and develops career development plans for personnel managed.
  • Attracts retains and motivates a high-performing project management team. 
  • Ensures the alignment of project team goals and objectives with the priorities and culture of the studio.
  • Projects a positive collaborative attitude.

Culture 

  • Supports and enables a high-performance environment within the APAC Studios.
  • Promotes shared goals amongst all studio functions by enabling the continuous exchange of information and ensuring the alignment of each position with studio goals/objectives.
  • Actively mentors Managers and Team members.

Project Management

  • Ownership of portfolio project management planning for the APAC Studio Group.
  • Primary administration, population and administration of project management tools including PPM, JIRA, PROS, Tableau, Sheets, and SAP.
  • Coordinates with project and studio management to develop project plans to ensure execution of the APAC roadmaps.
  • Facilitates the flow of information amongst project managers, studio leadership, and organizational stakeholders.
  • Primary financial partner for all studio related budgeting items including labour, external testing, outside services, and CapEx.
  • Working with Finance Director to monitor and maintain monthly budget requirements for the studio group.
  • Partner with studio leadership and product management teams to define, align, document multi-year roadmap resourcing and budget requirements.
  • Create reporting and dashboards for each product line/business vertical to track performance against roadmap objectives.
  • Identify roadblocks and inconsistencies across studio projects and work with leadership to proactively define and implement solutions.
  • Participates in the creation and delivery of presentations that communicate business updates and operational status to studio personnel and management.

Strategy

  • Translates near-term operating goals into processes, projects, and assignments for the APAC Studio.
  • Summarizes escalated issues or recurring problems and participates in the development of improved multi-departmental processes and procedures to resolve those problems.
  • Participates in establishing resource requirements, budgets, schedules, and performance standards for the APAC studio.

The following experience and attributes are essential:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Over ten (10) years of experience managing successful groups in a gaming/product or technical software development environment.
  • Over five (5) years of managing operation budgets.
  • Experience with proven project management systems, tools, and processes. 
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Project Management Certification.
  • Occasional Domestic and/or International travel may be required.
