IGT is searching for a Technical Artist who is passionate about developing games to join our collaborative team of game developers, working within our Sydney based team. This team is responsible for the creation of new and exciting game concepts. Within this role you will work closely with software engineers and artists to produce and maintain high quality games.  

A Technical Artist is a Unity expert; the critical link between art and code, able to tackle any number of varied tasks within the engine.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with engineering and creative teams to help build features and solve creative problems.
  • Help build rapid protypes of experimental features using Unity 3D or other game engines.
  • Iterate on Unity 3D scene implementation to finalize product and other creative requirements.
  • Help create performant graphics shaders for awesome visuals. 
  • Actively contribute to creative outcomes within the team.
  • Identify and implement new tools, technologies, and techniques to optimize teams' workflows.
  • Provide technical support to the creative team across all asset types. Fonts, sprites, animations and 3d
  • Help drive digital hygiene standards within the creative team.
  • Develop team’s awareness of hardware capabilities and how to best utilise them.

The ideal candidate will have:


  • Bachelor's degree; an advanced degree is preferred.



  • 5+ years’ experience with:
    • Unity (all parts).
    • SCM systems.
    • Creating real-time visual effects sequences.
    • Working in AGILE teams.
    • Optimizing real-time Unity performance.
    • Game asset creation tools (2d/3d)
  • Bonus points for:
    • Casino gaming experience.
    • Solid artistic skills (drawing or digital painting).
    • Motions graphics skills.
    • Jira / Confluence experience.
