Position Summary

IGT is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter who can manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently related to supporting the sales team through analyzing data, providing insights, developing reports and dashboards. You will help with planning and implementing projects, analyzing results, diagnosing the business, extracting meaningful, actionable insights to support achieving IGT revenue targets.
The Sales Strategy team exists to ensure IGT Sales Management has the insights and reported needed to execute on initiatives related to revenue generation, product penetration and overall sales strategy. This data is the foundation from which decisions to optimize our product portfolio are made. Your role in the organization is key this end.

The intern will train/mentor with team members to develop an understanding of the gaming industry and IGT products including all casino-style gaming machines and casino floor systems and related services. Gain an understanding of the IGT sales and client management processes to understand customer needs and promote products and services. Learn internal systems including and SAP, customer information and reporting. Team with mentor to evaluate potential deals and gather competitive intelligence. Participate in customer prospecting and attend tradeshows. Other duties as assigned.

This role is a Great foot-in-the-door opportunity for someone who wants to start a career in an analysis position. You will learn how a global, publicly traded organization operates, and have the opportunity to train in various areas of the sales administration department. Strong customer and analyst relations will be a major objective in this role.

This highly coveted position will join our Sales Operations team and report to the Director of Sales Strategy.

•    The Sales Strategy Intern will help with planning and implementing projects that support the sales organization.
•    Work closely with sales, by liaising with gaming operations and product management departments to reach projected quarterly numbers.
•    Ad-Hoc Requests to help support the sales strategy and sales operations team.
•    Support the sales team in developing effective long-term customer account plans to build IGT’s long term partnerships and value we offer the customer.
•    Support the sales team in developing and continuously improving sales tactics for each customer, product, or service line for assigned customers to meet or exceed established customer-specific sales goals.
•    Support in the creation of Sales Bonus Plans (SPIFS) tied to driving incremental placements, machine sales, software and hardware sales, overall revenue generation to hit Quarterly and Year Targets.
•    Support in gathering needed information related to structuring product promotions that will drive incremental MJP placements into the North America Install Base to help generate additional revenue for the organization.
•    Supporting the Sales team in creating bundling opportunities across the Product portfolio at an account level.
•    Help to Track, monitor, and report on key sales initiatives to ensure activities have been assigned appropriate ownership and are being executed in the field.

•    Develop a deep understanding of the gaming industry and IGT’s various product lines
•    Must be willing to learn and have good understanding of IGT products, processes, dependencies and workflows
•    Establish relationships with internal partners and stakeholders


•    Interns must be actively enrolled, either full-time or part-time in any one of the following: an accredited higher education institution; OR (2) a technical school recognized and approved by the Company.
•    Interns must have completed at least two years of higher education study or substantial equivalent credit hours.
•    Student internships will only be considered if course of study and area of internship are aligned.
•    Need to reside in Las Vegas, NV where position is based
•    Must be able to stay on for two or more semesters
•    Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours up to a maximum of 25 hours per week
•    Basic knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL writing skills 
•    Basic knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Einstein Analytics, SAP Reporting, or other tools used for BI reporting
•    Must have basic knowledge of/skills in Microsoft operating systems and applications
•    Ability to learn new systems and processes fast
•    Ability to test systems while keeping thorough documentation 
•    Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems within systems 
•    Ability to manage project and deadlines
•    Candidates must demonstrate good documentation skills, communication skills, good logical reasoning and analytical ability in solving challenges
•    Successful candidate should be a team player, have problem-solving skill, self-motivated and deadline oriented

Preferred Qualifications

•    Work experiences in an office environment a plus
•    Gaming Industry knowledge is a plus
