Overview

The Director, Product Management is a crucial leadership position reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Management.  The Director, Product Management, will lead a team of five (5) product management professionals and have overall customer and sales facing responsibilities for collecting market intelligence, crafting product strategy, and educating the IGT sales staff on new products.  This role serves as a central point for the go-to-market (GTM) strategy and initiatives across IGT.  In addition to customers and the sales staff, the PMM team works with nearly every department at IGT, including game development studios, vertical product owners, compliance, game testing, and marketing to ensure the success of IGT’s products.
 

Responsibilities

Product & Sales Support: 
* Directly support the Sales team, Service, and customers with technical product questions and recommending game configurations and mixes. 
* Act as a liaison between the salesforce / the market and R&D experts for specific configuration and game-related inquiries. 
* Work with the Marketing team to ensure sales collateral is delivered on time and correct to specifications
* Create and assist Sales with strategic customer product presentations
* Support regional tradeshows and customer events
* Review showroom product mix display and update featured products

In-Market Activities:
* Travel the region supporting commercial initiatives. Become an expert on our customers, competitors, and slot players. 
* Prioritize markets within the region.  Find efficient and creative ways to satisfy jurisdictions with minimal custom development.
* Filter information and represent the market, requirements, and trends via reports, research projects, analysis, and strategic internal interactions. 
* Main stakeholder in test bank and product evaluations, ensuring any property chosen for field research is efficient and representative of a greater whole.  Evaluate test bank grading and tweak location mix as needed to ensure our test bank grades are representative of the greater market. 
* Provide regular competitive intelligence information.
* Provide specific market information to the Product Group, helping to define product requirements and strategy based on overall market vision and goals. 
* Provide targeted player profiles, merchandising requests, competitive intelligence, top-performing themes, new competitor launches, trends and gaps, game-specific and desired game quantity timing. 
* Assist in attaining IGT game performance data from the field.

Product Rollouts: 
* Assist as needed product rollouts in the region, including packaging recommendations, game configurations (max and min bets, progressives, etc.), representative casino locations, and specific product positioning within the casino. 
* Create and launch technical or informative/ancillary supporting documents when needed. 
* Post-rollout: ensure that product is placed correctly.  Visit installations in the field.  Make recommendations to attain maximum game performance. 
* Assistance with field incidents and crisis management.

Content and Product Management Support: 
* Recommend product and jurisdictional priorities within the region
* Provide market needs, new business opportunities, and localization needs to increase market share
* Stakeholder in providing feedback on game design.
 
Player Knowledge:  
* Learn and define nuances and differences within various markets and player segments, documenting player demographics and player behaviors
* Attend player focus groups and stakeholder in player-focused casino events as needed
 
Tradeshow Focus: 
* Assist in product training for the Sales team
* Recommend product mixes
* Assist Sales and customers throughout tradeshows, ensuring it best represents us and our product portfolio
* Use tradeshows and the surrounding media releases to assist in the post-show report that reflects the following year’s competitive landscape

Qualifications

* Strong communication and writing skills a must: Must be able to professionally communicate internally and with customers
* Must be able to manage multiple responsibilities and projects
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
* Strategic thinker, team player
* Must possess excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and tenacity
* Excellent presentation skills
* Casino Operational experience strongly encouraged
* Previous strategic product management experience considered an asset
* Able to travel 50%
