Role Description

The IGT Legal Department is seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Contracts Administrator or Paralegal who will support its growing online gaming and sports betting business. 

As part of the IGT Legal Department (which comprises approximately 60 people globally), you will provide legal support for the business teams operating in the digital gaming and sports betting sector in the US, Canada, and Latin America. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative, and high-performance environment, helping IGT manage a wide range of legal and business challenges. 

 

The PlayDigital Legal Team consists of lawyers across offices in the UK and US who support IGT’s digital and betting business globally. This position will report directly to the Assistant General Counsel – PlayDigital, located in the US. 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Work in a dynamic environment in collaboration with attorneys, sales teams, and internal business partners in preparing, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of agreements with customers and vendors from across the industry, including supply and licensing agreements for digital and sports betting products, and systems and content.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of legal processes, policies, and standard forms. 
  • Document and know-how management.
  • Contributing to global legal team projects and strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of contract administration, paralegal or similar experience (minimum level included as a guide only, we will consider all candidates that demonstrate they meet our key requirements regardless of experience, however, JD and JD candidates who are still practicing attorneys and wish to remain practicing may not be considered.)
  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree.
  • Paralegal Certificate would be a plus.
  • Good understanding of Contract Law and experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts gained within a law firm and/or in-house legal department. 
  • Technology-related experience or gaming experience is desirable but not essential. 
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with a solution-oriented approach to legal issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in the use of standard IT applications. 
  • Customer-oriented interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with large cross-functional teams (including finance, compliance, operations, and People & Transformation (HR)).
  • Ability to communicate legal concepts and issues effectively to internal business clients and strong written skills.
  • Personal energy to proactively address situations and adopt a positive approach.
