Responsibilities

IGT is searching to hire a Software Engineering professional to support the industry's most innovative and highly complex lottery transaction processing system for our lottery customers.  The candidate is expected to be a self-starter, team player, a strong driver for results, quality first, continual improvement, and demonstrate passion for their work and projects.  To be a Software Engineer at IGT, a candidate is expected to bring an assortment of knowledge and skills to every area of our business. 

  • Interacts with Software Engineers and Managers at different levels; therefore, must possess strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong personal interaction and leadership skills
  • Designs software with clearly defined functional requirements
  • Participates in the design of test cases for software module changes
  • Develops quality software for transactional system
  • Participates in the design and code reviews of other team members
  • Changes or creates isolated modules that are completely designed
  • Outstanding problem solver to design, troubleshoot, and make repairs on isolated modules
  • Proficiency in Software Development, Software Design, Software Testing, Software Maintenance, Real-Time Issue Resolution, Software Configuration Mgt. Software Engineering Tools and Software Quality
  • Required to provide rotating 24/7 hotline support 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years’ experience as an Engineer
  • Knowledge of AIX UNIX and Linux OS
  • Very Strong Knowledge of ‘C’ programming language
  • Knowledge of subversion version control system
