Summary

 

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring instant ticket security and quality throughout the printing and packaging operations by applying consistent quality control procedures. This person will be responsible for the day to day management of Quality staff and functions.

Responsibilities

 

•    Directly supervise the Lab Technician, Quality Inspectors, and Finished Goods Auditors
•    Participate and/or lead continuous improvement teams and projects
•    Oversee the testing of lottery tickets for security and durability
•    Analyze data and communicate test results to manufacturing team
•    Review, audit, and update quality procedures
•    Maintain quality document control and record keeping, performing statistical analysis on the data
•    Interact with management and customers on quality related issues
•    Troubleshoot quality issues within the production and packaging processes
•    Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
•    Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitoring their compliance

Qualifications

•    Follow all policies such as Code of Conduct, Confidentiality, Information Security, Environmental Compliance, et. al

 

Education Required (high school, college degree, training, or certifications requirements)
•    Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing, engineering, chemistry or related field of study

 

Experience Required (years of experience, specific industry or previous job experience requirements)
•    3+ years’ experience in a leadership role of quality assurance or quality control

 

Skills Required (software, technical, industry, equipment, lifting, and physical requirements)
•    Analytical, problem solving and critical thinking
•    Knowledge of equipment calibration and testing
•    Numerical data analysis, statistical methods, and document control
•    Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•    Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within quality, laboratory or chemistry fields

 

Preferred Education, Experience or Skills (preferred degree(s), software, experience, equipment, etc)
•    Certifications in a related field of study
•    Six Sigma and Lean experience
