Summary

 

This position is responsible for the management of Printing Press Operations. It will oversee the shift productivity, goals, projects, and process improvements. The person in this role will manage the activities relating to the execution of production, staffing, cost management, and quality standards.
 
NOTE:  This position is for the night shift production operations at IGT in Lakeland, FL. The night shift is a 6p-6a shift with variable days in the week. The shift would include at least one Saturday or Sunday in the weekly shift schedule. 
 

 

Responsibilities

 

Leadership

  • Directly supervise Production/Press team members to ensure all are performing in a safe and efficient manner
  • Assess, document and deliver performance evaluations for employees under their leadership
  • Maintain, manage and develop personnel through effective hiring, training, performance management, and coaching
  • Work independently to resolve the day-to-day shift operational issues utilizing job knowledge and expertise
  • Provide training and development to teams, employees and/or consultants, internally and externally
  • Responsible for partnering with People & Transformation on related activities
  • Responsible for the health and safety of all the employees and ensuring compliance with established regulations
  • Represent the Company to customers and the community

 
Compliance

  • Maintaining compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulations that affect operations, while ensuring safety policies
  • Implement and enforce ISO level work instructions while participating in audits as needed
  • Adhere to and enforce compliance to IGT and departmental policies, rules, and procedures at all times

 
Production

  • Meet or exceed objectives by developing and maintaining a competent team engaged in the manufacturing/printing of the product
  • Documenting and recording performance data
  • Control costs of material, direct/indirect labor and equipment in accordance with budget
  • Coordinate the effective utilization of materials, equipment and staff in accordance with the production schedule and in cooperation with Packaging Manager
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems, recognize and proactively manage challenges
  • Maintain control of production/printing process parameters and ensure excellence of product
  • Responsible for equipment integrity and upkeep in cooperation with the Maintenance team
  • Identify continuous improvements of products, processes, quality, and costs in cooperation with other teams
  • Maintain and update production reports for production/press operations
  • Develop and drive Company and Department KPIs

Qualifications

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in function or discipline being managed

 

Experience Required

  • 5+ years in a leadership role with demonstrated levels of increasing responsibility
  • 3+ years in a production/printing or manufacturing environment, or other related experience in high-speed packaging to demonstrate technical expertise to manage operation

 

Skills Required

  • Management - Skilled in the leadership aspects of the press/printing operation.  Cross-over responsibility for packaging operations.
  • Manufacturing - Knowledge of raw materials, methods, tools and processes involved in the packaging.
  • Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of technologies used in high-speed printing 
  • Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) – Knowledge of environmental regulations, health standards and safety compliance within a manufacturing environment to include familiarity with OSHA and safety regulations
  • Microsoft Office - skilled in the use of programs at an intermediate level or higher
  • Ability to perform tasks that include frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing stairs and/or kneeling

 

Preferred Education, Experience or Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field a plus

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $_75,000_____ - $_110,000______. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
