The People Specialist conducts, communicates, and coordinates people related programs and activities for assigned employees. They will execute processes and practices that support an employee-oriented, high performance culture emphasizing empowerment, productivity, engagement, and ongoing development of a superior workforce. This person will work with managers to support them in various P&T processes, tactical actions, and employee engagement initiatives. This person will be able to positively influence change across the organization and must be able to partner with the assigned local leadership team(s) in defining talent needs and developing the scope of related projects. This position requires the ability to set and manage to tight timelines and partner well within the IGT organizations in an ever-changing environment.


People & Transformation
•    Support the Sr Mgr P&T Business Partner in business unit P&T function of the assigned site
•    Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
•    Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
•    Assist with escalated employee relations issues and concerns working with internal partners and senior leaders to determine resolutions. Must be experienced with internal investigatory processes and how to ensure outcomes are fair, consistent, and compliant with company policies and applicable laws and regulations
•    Establish rapport and create open lines of communication across functions and locations. Understand the drivers of employee engagement and work to continuously improve the work environment and organization culture
•    Coach and consult with managers and team members on various people issues
•    Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions and concerns regarding company policies and procedures
•    Assist in administering payroll processes by setting-up and maintaining files, maintaining reports for all employees, updating schedules in time keeping system, and occasionally serving as a back-up for payroll processing
•    Assist with administering benefits, including but not limited to, assisting with all Open Enrollment processing, and helping employees with logging in and completing forms related to Open Enrollment
•    Timely answering of employee questions, escalating situations to corporate Global People Services as needed.
•    Facilitate other miscellaneous administrative tasks, including but not limited to, keeping bulletin boards current, processing Idea Box submissions, maintaining inventory of IGT merchandise, and updating the HRTV displays with awards, birthdays, anniversaries, notices, etc


Talent Acquisition
•    Manages contingent workforce vendor relationship for staff augmentation and contingent workforce processes
•    Support and manage recruiting to include job description development, position creation, requisition posting, applicant screening, sourcing, interviewing, offer preparation, and general onboarding processes
•    The People Specialist takes a consultative approach and partners with the hiring managers 
•    Effective onboarding of new hires to include coordinating start date, scheduling orientation, delivering the P&T information, setting non-exempt employees up in the payroll time tracking system, and initiating set up of network access and PC equipment procurement 


IGT Global Requirements

Education Required (high school, college degree, training, or certifications requirements)
•    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field of study

Experience Required (years of experience, specific industry or previous job experience requirements)
•    3+ years of Human Resources experience supporting multiple local and remote customers
•    Proven expertise in talent management, workforce planning, change management, organizational development, and other strategic people initiatives 

Skills Required (software, technical, industry, equipment, lifting, and physical requirements)
•    Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
•    Excellent interpersonal, communications and presentation skills
•    Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to handle stressful situations calmly
•    Ability to establish and sustain relationships at all levels of the organization
•    Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and utilize data to influence business decisions
•    Experience with creating lasting change through the use of intentional organizational design and development practices
•    Full knowledge of legal implications of the employment relationship
•    Understands where the data sits and how to combine it to support actions and decisions
•    Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and familiarity with continuous improvement practices
•    Excellent project management skills
•    Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines
•    Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a team member
•    Strong business acumen
•    Strong attention to detail and a commitment to process quality
•    A high degree of professionalism and strong work ethic with a sense of responsibility and integrity 
•    Prior experience working for a large corporation supporting 300+ employee group
•    Experience supporting hourly and shift employee populations preferred
•    Demonstrated success working in a fast paced, matrix environment, with a track record of accomplishments with measurable business impact
•    Ability to quickly learn new skills, systems, and procedures

Preferred Education, Experience or Skills (preferred degree(s), software, experience, equipment, etc)
•    Experience from manufacturing, printing, gaming, or lottery industry
•    SHRM or HRCI certification
