Join the WINNING TEAM at IGT Global! Our Lottery Instant Ticket operation is seeking a skilled Buyer / Planner for our Lakeland, FL printing facility. The Buyer / Planner role is to ensure the availability of materials inventory is aligned to our production planning.

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage assigned materials and inventory. 
  • Manage inventory efficiently through categories, proper replenishment strategies & daily exception activity.
  • Perform daily and weekly interactions with the following departments:  Warehousing, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Supplier Management.
  • Convert purchase requests to purchase orders to multiple locations.
  • Executes all tasks comprising routine buying processes.
  • Completes routine tasks as assigned and is learning problem solving techniques.
  • Accountable for planning and executing the purchase of a specific set of products or services.
  • Identifies purchasing requirements based on received requisitions.
  • Orders parts and arranges for delivery.
  • Confirm and expedite purchase orders. 
  • Arranges for prompt return of damaged or faulty supplies. (RMA/RGA coordination)
  • Fosters mutually respectful relationships with suppliers that are beneficial both to IGT and its suppliers.
  • Maintains purchasing databases to ensure data integrity. (Supplier data, part data, purchase order data.) 

 

Qualifications

Education Required (high school, college degree, training, or certifications requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience

Experience Required (years of experience, specific industry or previous job experience requirements)

  • 5+ years of procurement experience and procurement best practices
  • Shop supply management for manufacturing facility 

Skills Required (technical, industry, equipment, lifting, and physical requirements)

  • Understanding MRP & Part Master Data
  • Supplier Scorecards
  • Able to understand the goals and objectives of an organization
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
