Manager Instant Ticket Sales

Overall Objective and Purpose

Manages a team of Instant Ticket Specialists which analyze inventory levels and product mix at individual retailer locations, places orders to replenish Instant Ticket Stock for retailers, and assists Sales with maintaining POG compliance. Collaborates regularly with the Product team to ensure that game mix is adequate to maximize Scratch Sales. Partners with the Sales Management team to ensure that relationships between Sales and ITS reps are collaborative and productive. Develops, implements, and improves systems and procedures used for distribution tracking, and analysis of instant tickets.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish and direct a quality management system for the Instant Ticket Reps that supports and monitors continuous improvement and closed-loop corrective action
  • Ensures that appropriate quality and service levels are maintained through staff personnel to meet set standards. Including but not limited to monthly monitoring of calls, replenishment orders, shortage orders and blocks. Provide timely coaching and guidance as needed.
  • Continue the development of an automated system that allows for more accurate ordering and reduce the number of inventory shortages experienced at retail
  • Analyzes and evaluates inventory and delivery of problems and recommends and/or implements solutions to optimize inventory levels and integrates changes into the automated system
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure smooth flow of inventory and monitors business trends and economic cycles in order to anticipate change in order flow and availability of inventory
  • Evaluates work performance of the group monthly in order to facilitate performance management merit promotion, transfers, dismissals, commendations, etc.
  • Must have ability to instill sense of urgency and energy that leads to accurate management of the review cycle and optimum ordering process
  • Communicate and interface with Warehouse, Hoosier Lottery Security and Sales Managers, concerning matters, which affect the well being of the operation when related to Instant Function
  • Provide training, exposure, and support to foster maximum employee development, satisfaction and performance
  • Learns and understands the cycle of Instant Inventory to assist other departments develop methods and procedures to manage all issues related to scratch inventory. Become the SME of instant inventory
  • Consistently reviews all reports utilized by the department to ensure that there is a thorough understanding of the data presented and that not changes are needed to align better with the current business
  • Attend Sales meetings on a regular basis and ensure that ITS has needed exposure to the field operations they support
  • Develop and maintain an Operations Manual for the department

 

Responsibilities

The Manager, Inside Sales administers and designs the inside/telesales representatives' sales incentive plan.

  • Trains, mentors, coaches, and supervises inside/telesales staff.
  • Has thorough knowledge of the organization's products/services.
  • Prioritizes and allocates resources.
  • Typically works with the field sales organization to ensure that representatives are provided adequate support in the field.
  • May work with inside/telesales representatives to develop channel partnerships.
  • Responsible for market development, setting targets, and ensuring that revenue is generated.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree; an advanced degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • 10 years of work experience; 5 years of related experience is required.
