Responsibilities

The Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer Tests compatibility of Game (Slot) manufacturer software, IGT created and 3rd party software with our systems. The SQA Eng., performs audits and tests of software products in accordance with software test plans and procedures. Debugs and characterizes defects, providing detailed configuration and descriptions for passing and failing tests for product evaluation reports. Maintains documentation of test operations and reports results to the Site Manger. Identifies actual or potential problems in test.

Your Typical Day


Attend morning stand-up and collaborate with the System Operations team on the daily plan. Assess any issues with data transfers, collection and storage that may have occurred since the past day. Test any software updates for compatibility with our systems. Ensure new gaming software for slot machines interact with our systems as expected to meet contractual requirements. Run daily/weekly reports and queries from our database.

Tasks/Skills:

  • Debug’s software products using systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
  • Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts, and programs for testing.
  • Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
  • Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
  • Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
  • Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
  • Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.
  • Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing plans or company products.
  • Assists product development engineers in the diagnosis and replication of product failures.
  • Assists Customer / venues / casinos with troubleshooting when applicable

Qualifications

Education: Associates degree is required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: 1-5 years of related experience is required.

  • Experience with MS Office, Windows 7 &10, VMware, Visio, and Windows server.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $36,500 - $100,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
