Our offices in Barcelona are looking for employees with at least 4 year of experience. We are interested in proactive engineers that love programming, enjoy facing new challenges and want to learn and develop themselves as part of an international team. We look for a person with also some experience on the whole life cycle of a project (Requirements, Testing and Long-term maintenance).

The candidate is expected to work on the Host (the Central System) development team for the current and future customers.

The Host system is the most advanced OLTP (as in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_transaction_processing) Lottery engine in the world, supporting incredible throughput and state-of-the-art features. Our engine is used in the customers with the highest TPM (Transactions Per Minute) globally.

The new engineer will be part of the existing team in Barcelona to provide support and maintenance of the Host system and will be supported by experienced and top-notch engineers. Eventually, it might be required to travel abroad, for short periods.

Responsibilities

The Software Apps Engineer analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, modifies and implements software enhancements and/or new products.
 

  • Code may be used in commercial or end-user applications, such as materials management, financial management, Global People Systems & Information (GPSI), mobile apps, desktop, or server applications products.
  • Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications.
  • Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
  • Supports QA team during the whole lifecycle of the products.
  • Support BAs and PMs.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 4 years of work experience with mentioned technologies
