IGT is looking for a Network Technician to monitor and troubleshoot an extensive wide area network and North America consolidated data center.  The ideal candidate will be a competent individual with a great passion for technology, outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving and analytical skills.  The goal is to proactively ensure minimum to no impact to business operations while exceeding the internal and external service level agreements.

The Network Control Technician's achievement of objectives is generally measured by product up-time.

  • Performs as the first line of defense to take appropriate action toward resolving network problems as they appear.

  • Detects, analyzes, and resolves network switching and transmission system problems while minimizing impact on customer service.

  • Differentiates between primary and secondary network failures.

  • Based on the severity or type of event, determines what additional resources are required.

  • Issues service interruption reports to requisite government agencies.



  • Proven experience as a network technician or relevant position with 1-2 years of experience or a two-year technical degree. 
  • Ability to perform basic level troubleshooting of network technologies related to legacy network systems, IP network systems and any other IGT deployed network systems and backbone transports according to established procedures, using existing tools under supervision.
  • Ability to perform basic level network monitoring by confirming tool set availability, using tools for verification of services, and detecting, reporting, escalating, tracking and documenting anomalies according to established procedures.
  • Performs basic level infrastructure hardware, software and wiring installations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Demonstrates a relentless commitment to meeting and exceeding customers’ expectations while also achieving the goal of reducing the risks and costs of providing services.
