Role Overview


We are looking for an experienced Statutory Accountant to manage the Lottery holding legal entity being established in the Netherlands and other operational Legal entities across Europe.

•    Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure. 
•    Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close for multiple legal entities. 
•    Provide timely reports to multiple stakeholders monthly.
•    Responsible for preparation of multiple annual financial statements and having the statutory audits completed.
•    Responsible for the direct and indirect tax compliance of the various entities.
•    Responsible for accurate and efficient financial analysis and reporting for the Lottery Division.
•    Responsible directly for accounts payables, accounts receivable and general ledger activities for the Lotteries holding entity.
•    Oversee a team of accountants in an outsource accounting environment covering billing, accounts payables, general ledger and collections to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met for multiple operational lottery legal entities.
•    Assess and monitor compliance with corporate policies and internal controls
•    Supports budget and forecasting activities.
•    Maintain the banking relationship.
•    Coordinate with corporate accounting/ sales for proper recognition of revenue, cost of sales, inventory and assets
•    Advises regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions. 
•    Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the legal entities.
•    Drive special projects and workflow process improvements. 




- Good Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS. Preference from Big 4 audit firms. 

- Strong result orientation and pro-activity with a high degree of customer orientation

- Strong financial controlling skillset and accounting skills

- Good understanding of end-to-end supply chains

- Advanced MS Office skills, especially MS Excel

- Strong analytical skills in order to synthesize complex data and develop innovative solutions

- University degree in Business Administration / Finance / Controlling 

- 7+ years of work experience

- Fluent in English (written and spoken) 

- Excellent communication skills
