Summary

 

Join the WINNING TEAM at IGT Global!  IGT is seeking a Plate Maker in the area of Lakeland. This position is responsible for producing finished plates for flexo printing.  Lakeland is a high-speed printing and packaging operation. We supply instant scratch lottery tickets to players around the world.

 

Please Note: This is a night shift position.

Responsibilities

 

  • Works from provided flats, job ticket, working papers, and verbal instructions.
  • Setup plate exposure equipment and loads film flats and underdeveloped printing plates
  • Make sure vacuum frame and glass are free of dust, debris, etc and exposure for proper amount of time
  • Perform manual and step and repeat operations as required
  • Check finished plates or proofs for flaws, position and check for proper exposure using standard scales and printers loop
  • Send proofs for customer and production approval as required, make plates from approved proofs or film and send to pressroom
  • Notify manager of any equipment problems or issues
  • Follow safety rules and keep work area clean and orderly condition

Qualifications

Education Required (high school, college degree, training, or certifications requirements)
•    High School or equivalent

 

Experience Required (years of experience, specific industry or previous job experience requirements)
•    Experience from manufacturing, packaging, printing, quality or related job functions

 

Skills Required (software, technical, industry, equipment, lifting, and physical requirements)
•    Must have computer skills to navigate folders and files on the company network
•    Must be able to effectively communicate one-on-one, via telephone, and via email
•    Must be able to stand/walk for 90% of the day, bend and lift light to medium materials weighing up to 50 lbs, and reach at or above shoulder height with good dexterity
•    Attention to detail, organized and able to meet deadlines, while still maintaining a high standard of accuracy
•    Must be able to work independently with little direct supervision
•    Attendance is an essential function of the job

 

Preferred Education, Experience or Skills (preferred degree(s), software, experience, equipment, etc)
•    Knowledge of printing industry preferred 
•    Kodak Therma-Flex plate setter preferred
•    Incline wash unit for Flexo plates preferred
•    ArtPro step and repeat imposition software preferable

The estimated starting compensation range is $__14.47____ - $__31.01_____. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
